About this desk · file CA-13

Useful information needs visible standards.

The Car Accident Injury Desk is an independent editorial reference on California car-accident injuries. It exists because crashes are explained badly in most places that show up in a search: either by marketing pages that want a phone number, or by content that invents numbers to sound confident.

01

Grounded

Every statutory or medical claim maps to a public source listed at the foot of the file — statutes to leginfo.legislature.ca.gov, DMV and CHP guidance to their own sites, and injury statements to peer-reviewed or professional-association sources (AAOS, CDC, NHTSA, MedlinePlus).

02

No invented proof

No invented statistics, averages, verdicts, or anecdotes. Where a number would be useful but no public source exists, the file says so — and explains the structure instead. Dollar figures appear only where a statute states them: the $1,000 SR-1 property-damage threshold (Vehicle Code §20008) and the SB 1107 minimum limits of $30,000 / $60,000 / $15,000.

03

Independent by design

No advertising, referrals, paid placement, affiliate links, testimonials, or case stories. No outside contributor, sponsor, or client influences content. If that ever changes, this page will say so before anything else.

04

Corrected on the record

Errors are fixed on the record: the file is corrected, the correction is noted with its date, and the “last reviewed” field is updated. No silent edits.

Authorship

Files are written and reviewed by the desk's editorial team under the byline “Car Accident Injury Desk — Editorial.” No outside contributor, sponsor, or client influences content.
